The CSIR supports the inclusion of small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) into the economy by improving operational efficiencies and increasing competitiveness through advanced technology adoption, commercialisation of CSIR intellectual property, incubation of new SMMEs and improving access to high-end equipment and infrastructure. Here are some examples from our annual report.
