Panday has an MSc in nuclear engineering from North-West University and 16 years’ experience in the water, nuclear, mining and automation industries. She joined the CSIR in 2013 as a senior researcher in advanced mathematical modelling.

Panday is a technical lead on the CSIR’s dynamic sea-ice modelling project and also involved in a high-pressure composite cylinders project that involves evaluating models and modelling techniques for complex systems integration and process engineering support.
