Dr Philip Labuschagne
Labuschagne’s research interests lie in developing polymer-based encapsulation technologies for pharmaceutical actives (such as drugs, vaccines, phytochemicals, bacteria) using ‘green’ supercritical CO2-based processes.
Full Profile
Labuschagne holds a DTech in polymer technology from the Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa. He became a CSIR senior researcher in 2011 and works on establishing a drug encapsulation platform-technology based on ‘green’ supercritical CO2 technologies. Labuschagne has published numerious articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at various nationa and international conferences.
