Dr Jabu Mtsweni
Jabu’s research interests and expertise are in information and cyber security focusing on applied research, technology design, development, testing, and deployment of cyber security solutions in large and complex environments.

Dr Mtsweni holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of South Africa. He joined the CSIR in 2014. He is currently a chief researcher and CSIR centre manager: Information and cyber security centre. He plays a technical and strategic role in building and implementing information and cyber security solutions across the public and private sector. He also has a strong focus on other 4IR technologies, such as Data Science, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Jabu also has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and supervises postgraduate students from different local universities.
