The CSIR launched the African Biomanufacturing Workforce Development and Training Programme in June 2023. This three-year programme aims to develop a skilled and competent workforce in the biomanufacturing sector across Africa. Applications are now open for the first intake of the programme: Biomanufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) - CSIR-BG-1A.

This four-week course includes two weeks of online sessions followed by two weeks of compulsory in-person training at the CSIR. This programme will provide a technology development and a hands-on training component to support and grow biomanufacturing and GMP activities in Africa. Click here for more information.
